Anne Cassity

In life and in design, Anne’s personal mantra is “keep it simple.” It would have to be, considering she thrives on complex projects with multiple objectives, several moving parts and overlapping timelines. Anne, who handles brand identity and collateral design, credits her kids—and a healthy obsession with yoga—with her ability to slow down and take it all in.

“I like working at Burris because I’m surrounded every day by a group of dedicated and talented professionals who operate at full throttle but still maintain an enduring sense of humor.”

Fresh ideas in progress

  • I’ve just finished working on a series of videos with Rob Bodle and Dejaview Media for our client, Stanley Furniture. Designed to introduce the consumer to Stanley’s four style categories (Contemporary, Transitional, Cottage and Traditional), these videos use still lifestyle (stock) photography, stock video footage and Stanley’s own exquisite catalog images, using a minimal script and carefully selected music.
  • Currently I’m working on a home landscape project that includes putting in an outdoor patio and walkway with pavers, removing all the “lawn” and creating new and extending existing garden beds. And my husband and I are doing all the work ourselves! “Hardscaping” has offered me a challenging “design” experience in an unfamiliar medium.
